Community Involvement Matters for Children
Children are our most important community members because their future is intimately tied to the collective future of our community. When we take good care of children during their early learning years, they grow up knowing how to communicate, respect one another and work together. They become adults who can make a positive contribution to society.

How can community members make a difference?

  • Show support for young children and for programs that provide training to caregivers.
  • Create a partnership with a local early childhood program by offering time, expertise, resources and/or financial support.
  • Make your vote count on behalf of young children and their families.
  • Open your workplace to an early childhood field trip.
  • Recommend that employees be granted release time to visit or participate in their children's programs.
  • Recommend that employees have access to benefits that support their families.
